How long will a power station run my refrigerator?

Start with the number on your fridge's yellow EnergyGuide label (kWh per year). You get a runtime range for each power station, plus checks for continuous power and startup surge.

Power checks (optional, from your fridge's nameplate or manual)
Assumptions (you can change them)

Safety first

  • Plug the fridge directly into the power station, following the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Never connect a portable power station to your home's wiring unless it is through a manufacturer-approved transfer switch installed by a licensed electrician.
  • Food safety (USDA): a closed refrigerator keeps food safe for about 4 hours; a full freezer about 48 hours (24 if half full) if the door stays closed. When in doubt, throw it out.

Runtime range = battery Wh × usable share ÷ average load, using the low and high ends of each assumption. Specs come from each maker's page (linked). Prices are not shown because they change daily; check the maker's page.

Quick answers

Worked with the same method as the calculator: real use 100–150% of the label, 80–90% of the battery usable. The kWh/year values are example label numbers, not a typical fridge; type your own label number above for your answer. Specs are from each maker's page, checked 2026-11-02.

How long will an EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus run a refrigerator?

About 8.0–13.5 hours for a fridge whose EnergyGuide label says 600 kWh/year. The DELTA 3 Plus stores 1,024 Wh.

Label (kWh/year)Average loadRuntime range
40046–68 W12.0 h – 20.2 h
60068–103 W8.0 h – 13.5 h
80091–137 W6.0 h – 10.1 h

A full 24 hours needs a very efficient fridge: about 336 kWh/year or less in the best case, and about 199 kWh/year or less to be sure. Its 1,800 W AC output is far above a fridge's average draw. Whether its 3,600 W surge rating starts your compressor depends on your fridge's startup watts, which the label doesn't show; if your manual lists them, enter them in the power checks above.

How long will a Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 run a refrigerator?

About 8.3–14.1 hours at 600 kWh/year. The Explorer 1000 v2 stores 1,070 Wh. (This is the Explorer 1000 v2, not the HomePower 1000 Plus v2.)

Label (kWh/year)Average loadRuntime range
40046–68 W12.5 h – 21.1 h
60068–103 W8.3 h – 14.1 h
80091–137 W6.2 h – 10.5 h

A full 24 hours needs about 351 kWh/year or less in the best case, and about 208 kWh/year or less to be sure. AC output is 1,500 W continuous and 3,000 W surge; the same startup-watts check applies.

Can a 1000W power station run a refrigerator?

Two different numbers decide it. Watts (W) say how much power the station can deliver at once, which matters for starting and running the fridge: compare your fridge's startup watts with the station's surge rating. Watt-hours (Wh) say how long it lasts. Most "1000" class stations store about 1,000 Wh. At 600 kWh/year:

Power stationBattery · AC · surgeRuntime range
EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus1,024 Wh · 1,800 W · 3,600 W8.0 h – 13.5 h
Jackery Explorer 1000 v21,070 Wh · 1,500 W · 3,000 W8.3 h – 14.1 h
Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 21,024 Wh · 2,000 W · 3,000 W8.0 h – 13.5 h

So a 1 kWh station covers this fridge for an outage of several hours, but not a full day. A day needs roughly 1,827–3,083 Wh. On this list, the Jackery Explorer 2000 v2 (2,042 Wh) gives 15.9–26.8 hours, so a full day is possible but not guaranteed, and the Anker SOLIX F3800 Plus (3,840 Wh) gives 29.9–50.5 hours.
